Where do I begin? So much to share!

Holy Macaroni! I’m writing this as I’m chomping down on my yummy homemade Gluten-Free Pasta with Chicken Salad and Broccoli Slaw, and of course the perfect mayo-based spicy dressing. So easy and so yummy! The perfect nourishment after a musical adventure at Lollapalooza this past weekend. Nom nom nom.

But anywho! Lollapalooza this year was amazing. Incredible to say the least and surpassed my expectations. I got to fulfill a lifelong dream to scream and lose my mind at Paul McCartney’s show. I was a HUGE Beatles nerd when I was in school, and always wished I could go back in time and scream and shout with those hormonally-charged quirky girls going mad over that adorable band of boys. Confession: I didn’t know Paul got the rights back from MJ to sing those legendary Beatles songs, so it came as a sweet surprise to hear him sing those same melodies that brought me so much joy as a teen. Epic night for sure!

Followed by another epic day with Walk The Moon’s high-energy performance. My goodness! They are amazing! You can’t help but “shut up and dance” with them, but actually I didn’t shut up because I wanted to sing along at the top of my lungs with a giant smile on my face because their music rocks my world! Their music is so positive and uplifting… They’re on a mission to change people’s mindset about love and diversity with their music. I think we need to officially label that genre of music as Mindset Music.

Speaking of mindset shifts, my favorite biz coach, Amanda Goldman-Petri is about to launch her super awesome #BAM Academy. 12-months of training, coaching, and growth if you’re lucky enough to get accepted into the program. Oh wait… there’s no application? What? Anyone can join. Whoa! (That’s cool, Amanda. But you’re so inclusive anyway, so I’m not surprised.) For those of you who don’t know, #BAM is actually an acronym that represents Business, Accountability, and Marketing… which happens to be Amanda’s genius zones. Plus it’s something she says a lot! BAM!

I’ve experienced Amanda’s game-changing wisdom first hand, and I’ve enjoyed one big success after another because of it. For example, the technical training and systems she’s taught me alone has helped me get more exposure, generate more income, and create more time for myself to chill out and be the introvert I was born to be. :)

I’m paying a pretty penny right now to have Amanda coach me privately, but I’m so excited that she’s offering this group program at an affordable price. I really hope my peeps consider working with her, and learning from her. She brings so much to the table, even in her group programs, and she goes above and beyond to make sure you’re successful. Just be willing to do what she says because she’s usually right… if you know me, then you know how hard that is for me to admit because I’M ALWAYS RIGHT DAMNIT!

Speaking of people who know how crazy I am, I just want to give a shout out to my private clients, Lara Habig of LimitlessSoul.com and Elizabeth Diebold of Avalon8Wellness.com. I’m helping Lara write and publish her incredibly inspiring book about self appreciation and acceptance. I’ll let you know as soon as it’s published so you can purchase your own copy. So proud of her! And Elizabeth hired me to help her create amazing content for her new Health & Wellness Lifestyle Coaching program. I’ll also share her details as soon as it’s ready, because her passion to help people break their bad habits and replace them with healthier ones is unparalleled. She’s the real deal, folks! Stay tuned!

In the meantime, you can listen to me rant and rave about the awesome guests I have on my podcast. Did you see me on iTunes? It’s official! LOL. My show went live last month. Look it up (or click here), listen, subscribe, and review it… pretty pretty please. The show is called Noteworthy Wisdom Podcast, and yes it took me forever to come up with that name. True story… Haha! I’ll be releasing a few more episodes this week so keep an eye out for them. I’m interviewing all kinds of cool people, a sports podcaster, authors, comic book artists, healers, biz gurus, and more. I love it. Highlighting other people’s gifts bring me so much joy because I know it inspires you to get out there and be the voice you want to hear in the world. YAY!

And speaking of being the voice… It’s time to jump back into that path that scares the poop out of me. I signed up for a comedy writing class at Second City which starts in a few weeks. I originally signed up for their Intro to Improv class back in Jan of 2014, but I dropped out because of the poor winter driving conditions (but I think it was fear, honestly). This past year and a half, I’ve been feeling this huge nudge to pursue comedy. My comedy friends have urged me to do it. The audience at my last talk told me I should do stand up. My friends laugh at my jokes (because I pay them to)… Wait that last one wasn’t a good argument. I’m too lazy to delete it so I’ll just keep it there. Maybe no one will notice…

After reading Amy Poehler’s book and Mindy Kaling’s book, the urge to create content to make people laugh became stronger and stronger. And then I watched Amy Schumer’s movie last week… and I left thinking to myself “I want to do what she does, what Poehler does, what Kaling does.” All of these women write to create awareness around serious topics, wrapping it up in humor to keep it light yet effective. Seriously, go back and think about it — do you see how intelligent those women are? I want to make people laugh their asses off with a purpose, too.

We’ll see how far I go with this dream of mine. I’m more excited about the journey and I what I’ll experience along the way. As with all of my dreams, they start at one point and end at the start of a new beginning (say what?)…At the very least, it’s a testament to following my heart where it wants to go, and I hope it inspires you to do the thing you’ve been wanting to do, too. Because you deserve it. It’s never too late to start. OMG do it now! Do what it takes to make it happen, make the investment, and commit to it. See where it leads you… The destination might surprise you — hopefully, in a good way. ;)
